Terry Richardson

Terry is a Seattle native who studied photography in the 1990s and subsequently refined her visual and conceptual style through studio classes. In 2002, she received her doctorate in Pharmacy from the University of Washington. Today, Dr. Richardson works predominately with mixed-painting mediums, including encaustics, resin, oil and acrylics. With a focus on deconstruction, transformation, and the recycling of materials, her artworks are a visual reconstruction of everyday materials. Influenced by microbiology and with an intentional engagement of the sense of touch, the finished works create a textural and symbolic presence of the virtually unrecognizable material contained within.  Artist at Gray Sky Gallery.
